Energy Audits - PIN not currently providing this service

You may contact Property Inspection Network to book an audit and one of our certified energy auditors will come to your home to perform the first inspection. An energy evaluation report will be mailed to you, and will provide you with an outline of improvements required to increase the efficiency of your home, as well as an EnerGuide rating label which shows the home’s level of energy efficiency.

After you make improvements to your home, our inspector will then perform a second inspection to log the changes and record the energy improvements.

Improving the Energy Efficiency of Your Home

How is your home using energy – and where is it being wasted? Can you qualify for eco-friendly rebates? How can you take action to alleviate climate change and conserve our natural resources?

Our Natural Resources Canada-certified energy advisers can answer these questions – and make recommendations on the steps homeowners in Ottawa and Gatineau can take to potentially save hundreds of dollars each year in utility costs.

What to Expect from a Home Energy Audit

A residential energy audit can help pinpoint your home’s worst insulated areas, discover air leaks, determine your furnace’s efficiency rating and much more.

When we perform a home energy audit, we look at your:

  • Insulation

  • Ventilation

  • Heating and cooling systems (e.g. furnaces, air conditioners)

  • Hot water systems

  • Air sealing

  • Windows, skylights and doors

  • Low-flush and dual-flush toilets

Following this evaluation, you receive a comprehensive home energy audit report and an energy-rating label that shows how energy-efficient your home is compared to others in your area. Our energy audit report also provides impartial advice and recommendations – backed by years of experience and more than 35,000 completed energy evaluations – on how to improve your home’s energy use and reduce your costs.
